I would absolutely recommend McLawland Farm, and cannot wait for my next trip! I had an absolutely wonderful experience. Farmer Larry and Farmer Jason are truly so welcoming, generous, and founts of knowledge. I signed up for the class on how to plant blackberries and farmer Larry did an amazing job giving me both instructional and hands on learning opportunities. I’ll definitely come back for another class as they are offered. The farm itself is awesome - they’ve done an amazing job creating lots of beautiful spaces and have a ton of different plants. I would 10/10 recommend going there for a visit or a class!

Took my toddler flower picking and it was such a treat. A very fun and affordable outing that I felt safe doing during the pandemic we are in. We went later in the morning and there were still plenty of flowers to pick. We saw several butterflies as well. My toddler was talking about how much fun she had for the rest of the day. The owner also had a little "rainbow" garden up his sleeve to help us find flowers to top off our bouquet. Will definitely be visiting again.

We we are the Farm on Saturday, October 17, 2020. AMAZING PLACE!! We took the tour, provided by Jason, and was astounded to hear about the organic and sustainable farming done on property, as well as future plans for expansion. After the tour I cut flowers to make myself an arrangement... beautiful! Can't wait to go back..... so relaxing!!!!

About us

Welcome to McLawland Farms where fresh berries and flowers abound! We are a chemical-free, all natural farm specializing in you pick farm experiences.  We are open April thru October by appointment only.

TEASER ALERT:  Farmer Larry has something up his sleeve for May in honor of Mother's Day.  Stay tuned! 🌼🌸🌺

We will offer small group and private farm tours starting in April.  Come see our operation in action as we prepare for our 3rd summer season.  Meet our chickens and learn about our farm.  Appointments will be added to our booking website in March.

We offer seven varieties of blackberries with picking in late May through early July.

You pick flower sessions are scheduled to begin in June.  We are planting over a dozen varieties of flowers to go along with our featured zinnias and sunflowers.  We are trying our hand at dahlias this year and hope they will flourish here.

We cultivate blueberries, figs & black raspberries and hope to have those patches up and running in the near future.

Are you looking for an outdoor space for a small gathering this year?  We can host private events on the farm both outdoors and indoors.  From tours & flower pickings to campfires, s'mores & fishing we'd love to host you here on the farm.

Looking for a getaway with space and connection to the outdoors, yet close to everything Charlotte has to offer?  Then check out our private modern farm suite on Airbnb and come stay a spell here with us.

Follow us on Facebook for updates and book your next farm experience that's both fun & educational.
